Vintage Chrome Rimes Crackerjack Three-in-One Nutcrackers

Vintage Chrome Rimes Crackerjack Three-in-One Nutcrackers, made by CL Rimes Ltd of Morley, Leeds, UK.  Quite unique in that they utilise a patented hand ratchet system to crush the nut.

In very good condition with a few surface scuffs. The box is stained and marked but intact. The instructions are also included.

Best for Brazil and Macadamia nuts, Walnuts, Pecans and Almonds but could also be used for crushing ice cubes and crab or lobster claws! A nice addition to the vintage kitchen!

The nutcrackers are marked with:-

Reyrolle

British patent 592232: which dates to 1944

U.S Patent 2526273: which dates to 1950

Reyrolle was a large engineering company based in NE England; it was possible that the nutcrackers were a marketing gift from the company or sold to Reyrolle with their company name already in situ.
